Trust & consent

Likeness is being designed so that permission comes first. This page explains the safeguards we are building. It describes intended policies, not a live service.

Verified adults, before anything is captured

Every creator would complete identity and liveness checks and sign a versioned consent agreement before any likeness is captured. A manager or agent could act for talent only with written authority reviewed by our team.

Rules set once, applied every time

Creators choose categories, blocked brands, territories, placements, licence lengths and script types. Requests outside those rules are declined. Anything uncertain goes to review; nothing uncertain is approved silently.

Restricted categories

Some categories are blocked by default and a creator cannot unlock them alone: political and issue ads, adult content, gambling, weapons, tobacco and vaping, crypto and financial advice, medical or health claims, weight loss, ads aimed at children, and hate or discrimination. Alcohol is opt-in only.

Endorsements stay personal

Permission to appear in a category is not permission to say “I use this”. A personal testimonial would need the creator’s explicit approval for that specific brand.

Clear disclosure on every video

Every video made on Likeness is intended to carry a visible “AI-generated, licensed likeness” label, content credentials and its licence ID. The finished video would be checked against the approved script before it can be downloaded, and a mismatch would stop it.

Businesses make a video, never get the person

Businesses would make the approved video on Likeness and get it with its licence. They would never receive raw capture media, a likeness model or a reusable voice clone.

Pause, revoke and report

Creators would be able to pause or revoke future use at any time; existing licences would follow their agreed terms. If you believe someone is using your face or voice without consent, email [email protected]. A dedicated report form and takedown process are planned before launch.

These are planned safeguards and may change before launch. They are not a guarantee, a legal statement or a description of a live service.
